A sweet spot,
where people
stick together
Community is essential. It is a source of life-force, joy, laughter, witness, growth, and play. We make friends in community. We recognize ourselves in community. We find love in community. We get to enter into conversation around growth, challenge, and transformation in community. We build new foundations in community.
And yet, we know it can be difficult to form new relationships and find spaces that feel safe and welcoming. We understand how feelings of isolation and loneliness can fester, leading to worsened mental health outcomes and overall weakened quality of life.
Here at Bubble Gum Therapy, we offer a mix of virtual and in-person support groups, as well as a combination of open and closed support groups, for folks to feel less isolated and dislocated.
Support groups offer an opportunity for connection, dialogue, laughter, and shared meaning-making. Support groups also allow individuals to connect with people in a space where their identities will be recognized, affirmed, and supported. Support groups are open, monitored spaces where individuals can drop in and discuss a weekly theme. Support groups allow for difficult topics to be discussed and explored in a safe container, and allow for skills-shares, storytelling, community witness, togetherness, and most importantly, human connection.
